This
beautiful manga has been made into a drama! :) In
fact, I watched the drama first before I read the
manga. I missed the first few episodes though...=~(
BUT I managed to get the VCDs so I'm no longer upset!
:)
I
realised that the story is based on a manga when I
watched the ending credits. Snapshots of the manga
illustrations are part of it. :)
Okay, I'm
not going to bore you with my rantings. Here are some
info about the drama!!!
It
comprises of 9 episodes. Due to the volume, there are
some major differences between the manga and drama eg.
where Naoki and Kotoko first met, their first kiss

The lead parts are played by
Sato Aiko (left) and Kashiwabara Takashi (right).
Sato Aiko really did a great job playing
Kotoko. :) I really enjoyed her performance!
She played her so well that she even got
Kotoko's expressions right!!! :) Kashiwabara
Takashi is the perfect Naoki. He's really

It Started with a Kiss (The Taiwanese Drama)
Great news! ^^ The Taiwanese drama version of this manga will be showing in Taiwan on the 25th Sept 2005! The leads will be played by Zheng Yuan Chang (from The Rose) and Lin Yi Chen (from Love Contract). It consists 13 episodes in all. You can find the synopsis, characters and cast on the official websites. Also images from the drama and some NG photos. ^^

My thoughts so far on it, I think the cast is pretty well done... Zheng Yuan Chang really does have the Naoki look...lol. This Naoki however is not as cold (as in cold to Kotoko) as in the Naoki that Kassy played. This is due to the fact that some scenes that Kotoko imagined or some bg scenery (you have to watch the 2nd ep to know what I mean...lol) are just too funny. Lin Yi Chen is also ok as Kotoko, she also has the look...lol Obviously the Taiwan version follows closer to the original manga compared to the Japanese version. Only to make up for the 13 ep (and afterall it's a realife drama), they do shuffle/change some events and characters. The only person that I have problem believing is the guy who played Kotoko's father. I guess I kept thinking he kind of looked so young that's why! ;;^^ Anyway, overall so far, it's been good and funny. Certainly worth watching. ^^
This series concluded with Kotoko & Naoki getting married.
They Kiss Again (The Taiwanese Drama Part II)
This is a continuation to the first part, beginning with Kotoko & Naoki's married life. Apparently there were some really "hot" scenes. Although, I'm quite curious as to how they'll end it since the manga never did complete. But I'm pretty sure they'll come up with something satisfying for the fans... ^^
