11:
Kotoko
and Naoki are on their way to Hawaii for their
honeymoon. :) Kotoko is still in awe with the fact
that she and Naoki are really married now. When
Kotoko told Naoki about her feelings ie. that it's
just like a dream etc. he told her that he doesn't
want to think about it, ie the ceremony. Kotoko asks
him if he's still angry about the photos. As it
turned out, Mama displayed both Kotoko's and Naoki's
baby pictures during the wedding ceremony. Errr......if
you guys remember, Mama used to dress Naoki up as a
girl....let's just say everyone invited to the
wedding had a good laugh about it....
On the
plane, Kotoko met another couple, Mary and Takumi.
Mary asked Kotoko to wake Naoki up (he's asleep)
cause she thinks that Kotoko is lonely but Kotoko
didn't want to so Mary asked Takumi fetch her a drink
so that she and Kotoko can chat. Kotoko tells Mary
that her husband is very obedient (sort of..;;^^) and
Mary agrees that Takumi has always been the passive
one in their relationship. Mary also tells Kotoko
when she and Takumi began dating. Kotoko tells Mary
that she has always liked Naoki but finally succeeded
after six years. Mary then asks Kotoko if she and
Naoki has been intimate (;;^^) and Kotoko says no,
Mary in her shock exclaimed loudly about it while
Kotoko embarrassed tried to sush her. Mary asks
Kotoko that in this age, is there actually such
things and if she is worried cause Naoki never asked
her. She asked Kotoko as a woman, isn't she worried
and proceeded to tell her what she (Mary) would do if
she's in Kotoko's position. Takumi came back with the
drink but Mary told him that it's not the one she
wants and send him to go and get it again. She then
laughs and gave Kotoko an offensive remark about
Kotoko later being divorced....infuriating Kotoko.
When they've
reached Hawaii, Naoki notices that Kotoko don't look
too good and thought that it must be because she didn't
get any sleep in the plane. Actually Kotoko was
bothered by what Mary said. Kotoko lost in her
thoughts got left behind by Naoki at the immigration
part. The officer asked to see her passport in
English but Kotoko couldn't understand and she tries
to explain in Japanese to the officer while trying to
grab Naoki's attention. Naoki finally came to her
rescue and bonk her on the head for not even
understanding that the officer only wants her
passport. Then they heard a commotion and Kotoko
wonders about what is happening and Naoki tells her
that it's the same situation as her. They don't
understand English. Kotoko asks Naoki isn't this the
first time he has been in Hawaii, he tells her that
he has been there 3 times with his father.
Mary
comes along and Kotoko introduces Naoki to her...though
she does it reluctantly. Mary remarks that Naoki is
very handsome and she also keeps giving Kotoko snide
remarks. Kotoko asks where's Takumi and Mary tells
her that Takumi went to look for their lost luagage.
Takumi came back empty handed because the people
couldn't understand him. So Naoki offers to help and
Mary and Takumi are impressed with Naoki's English.
Mary then tells Takumi that he is useless. She then
goes to Kotoko and tells her that they will be
staying in the same hotel. Kotoko is not happy. Then
Mary whispers to Kotoko that Kotoko's husband is
great, maybe they should exchange husbands. She then
tells Kotoko that she is just joking. As the two
couples go to their hotel, Kotoko thinks to herself
that she has got a very bad feeling about this.
Kotoko is
very excited and happy when she saw her and Naoki's
room. As she was enjoying the comfort of the bed, she
realises that that night she will be sleeping with
Naoki. She promises Naoki to be a good wife so he
must not leave her. He told her that at the first
place he never had high hopes so it's okay. Kotoko is
touched.
Mary
called and asked Naoki and Kotoko to go to the beach.
At the beach, she kept trying to get Naoki to go
places and do everything with her. Kotoko is not
happy and so is Takumi though he didn't do anything.
Kotoko lectures him about it. He tells her that he
used to it. To Kotoko's anger, Takumi even said that
he is worried cause he is sure that Naoki has never
received the attention of someone that beautiful
before so there's a chance that Naoki might stray
from Kotoko. Kotoko assures
him that Naoki won't stray because of someone like
that. Takumi is quick to defend Mary and started
listing all her attributes and concludes that she is
his life. Kotoko then tells him since he has got that
attitude, maybe it's not too late to change.
Meanwhile,
Naoki and Mary saw the both of them talking to each
other enthusiastically and she remarks that Takumi
and Kotoko gets along very well and asks Naoki to go
swimming with her. Suddenly a ball hits her on the
head. The ball belongs to someone who looks like Mama....only
with blond hair....When swimming, Mary again invites
Naoki to do things together, Naoki tells her to ask
her husband along. Again the ball hits her head.
Kotoko observing the woman with the ball thinks to
herself that that foreigner is not bad. ;;^^
As the
honeymoon progresses, no matter what Naoki and Kotoko
planned, Takumi and Mary always join them along. It
is now the last day for the honeymoon, yet Naoki and
Kotoko hasn't done anything yet because every night,
they would end up drinking with Takumi and Mary and
Kotoko not happy with Mary who would always sit
beside Naoki, she drank herself drunk. By the time
she woke up it's already morning. Kotoko is worried
later if Naoki divorces her, she'll still be a virgin.
She decides to take action tonight. She asks Naoki if
they could use their last day to have dinner together
and then walk under the moonlight. Naoki agrees and
tells her that since they've been here they've never
had a nice dinner because once it reaches night,
Kotoko turns into a drunkard. Kotoko promises that
she won't touch a drop of alcohol that night.
Kotoko
then asks Naoki what souvenir should they buy for
Mama and Papa. Naoki says that there is no need to
but Kotoko insists on buying them something and tells
him that they got married due to them. Since they are
stuck in Japan while Naoki and Kotoko is overseas,
they should get them something. Naoki began to say
something like that's not what I mean...forget it...do
what you want..As Kotoko is picking out a mask and
saying if Yuki will like it, she hears someone says,
I don't want that! She turned around but there's no
one there except this boy who looked like Yuki....only
blond....
That
night Kotoko dresses up for her romantic evening with
Naoki. However, Takumi came and asked for their help.
Mary is sick and he wants to bring her to the doctor
but he can't speak English. So Naoki offered to check
on her as he is a medical student. As Naoki was about
to touch Mary, Kotoko suggests that they bring her to
the hospital instead because Naoki won't be able to
much anyway. But Naoki says he'll just check for a
while and she asks him what about their dinner and he
says even if they don't eat it's okay. Kotoko, angry
shouts that she doesn't want Naoki to toucj other
women but Naoki tells her that he's going to be a
doctor and if she's going to be jealous all the time
they may not be able to be together anymore.
Kotoko
hurt and angry ran out of the room thinking that she
is useless and and they will get a divorce when they
return to Japan.
Takumi
looked on worriedly and asks Naoki if he's going to
go after Kotoko but Naoki just says that Mary is
alright and all she needs is this medicine. Mary asks
her husband to get the medicine but as Takumi leaves
the room he is worried about Naoki and Kotoko.
In the
room, Mary remarks that Naoki is very cool and it's
not obvious that he likes only Kotoko. He asks Mary
if she is sick and she tells him no. She only wants
to be alone with Naoki. She also tells him that
Kotoko said that Naoki has got no interest in Kotoko.
(I think what she meant here is about intimacy etc..)
She then continues on to say that if only she met
Naoki first before Kotoko. Naoki cuts her off but
telling her that even if he met her first, he wouldn't
even look at her. As he leaves the room, he tells
Mary that compared to Kotoko, Mary is nothing.
Takumi
came back into the room and asks Mary why Naoki left.
She angrily says that how dare Naoki says that he won't
even look at her and she decides that she won't stop
until she breaks Naoki and Kotoko up. Takumi hearing
this slaps her. In shock, she asks him how can he
slap her and that she is going to leave him. He
replies that she is his wife and that he don't let
her to look at other men and whether she understand
his order. Still in shock, Mary replies okay...
Meanwhile
Naoki barges into a room belonging to Mama, Papa,
Yuki and Sai. They were in shock but Naoki quickly
explains to them that he needs their help. They
scrambled for their wigs but Naoki tells them to stop
it. As it turned out Naoki has known all along that
they were there in Hawaii. He quickly tells them that
Kotoko is missing. He tries seaching by the seaside
but he couldn't find her. He also explains that she
didn't bring any money and that she can't speak
English so please help him to look for her.
Kotoko is
lost and she is a bit afraid. Suddenly a big and
scary man tapped her shoulders and started asking her
questions. Actually he is a policeman but Kotoko
couldn't understand what he's saying. She is really
scared and is in tears. In her fear, she shouted
Naoki I love you!!! She then went on to say that she
wants to do all the romantic things she planned with
him and that she doesn't want a divorce. She again
says, Naoki I love you!!! (BTW. She actually calls
Naoki Irie-kun but I'll just refer him to Naoki)
At this
point Naoki came and asked the guy what's he's doing
to his wife. Seeing Naoki, Kotoko quickly ran into
his arms and tells him that she tought he won't look
for her and that she won't see him again. She also
told him that she thought the man will kill her.
Naoki told her that she shouts so loud that everyone
could hear it. The policeman was surprised that
Kotoko is Naoki's wife. He thought that she is an
elementary school student. Kotoko wonders why is the
guy laughing so scarily. Naoki tells her that she
should really learn her English and explains to her
about the poilceman. Kotoko apologise.
When the
policeman left, Kotoko apologise to Naoki. Naoki cuts
her off by calling her silly because he scared him to
death. Then they kiss. Unknown to them, Mama and the
others are taking pictures of them kissing.
In their
bedroom, Naoki tells Kotoko that the road is still
long and Kotoko tells Naoki that as long as they are
together she'll be happy. That night, they finally
did what they are supposed to do in honeymoons. ^_-
In the
plane back to Japan, Takumi and Mary are very loving
towards each other. Kotoko tells Naoki it's a pity
they didn't take any pictures but Naoki tells her not
worry about that and when she asks him why, he says
never mind. Then she also saw the blond boy who looks
like Yuki. During the rest of the trip, she and Naoki
are asleep while Mama and Papa are looking excitedly
at the photos they have taken during this trip...^_^

Kotoko is
taking her wifely duties seriously by waking up at 6
every morning to make breakfast for Naoki and send
him off to work. However, Kotoko being Kotoko, fell
asleep again when she was day dreaming. In the end,
Naoki was about ready to leave the house when she
woke up. As he is leaving, he says he woke up early
and thought what was for breakfast and even thought
married life is good. He then went on to say I've
really married a good wife. Kotoko is dejected to
hear this. He then said he's leaving and she quickly
tells him that she will do better tomorrow.It doesn't
help matter for Kotoko cause Yuki made snide remarks
about her waking up late...;;^^
In school,
she tells Zinko and Satomi about it and they told her
not to worry about such things cause this type of
things is normal for Kotoko to do and that Naoki
knows about it so he married her. Kotoko is annoyed
to hear this. Then other students comes by and calls
Kotoko Mrs Irie and her eyes glazed over. Then she
"woke" up and says that's right, she is
Irie Kotoko now and nothing is impossible for her to
do. Zinko and Satomi just says no wonder she is
Kotoko.
Meanwhile
Kinnosuke is looking at this and is still bitter and
angry about losing Kotoko. Satomi and Zinko told him
to find a girlfriend and he replies that if there's
anyone better than Kotoko then they should introduce
her to him. They replied that there are a lot of
girls better than Kotoko. Satomi and Zinko then went
on to wonder how Kotoko spent her wedding night.
Kinnosuke is even more dejected and tells them to
stop it.....
That
night Kotoko tries to be good wife and Mama is
filming everything annoying Naoki. What's worse was
apparently Mama as put up a huge (I mean HUGE)
picture of Kotoko and Naoki in their wedding right in
front of the entrance.
Mama asks
Naoki if he has fogotten something important. As it
turned out Naoki hasn't registered their marriage yet.
That is she is still Aihara Kotoko. (I think marriage
in Japan is very different) She quickly tells Naoki
to go and do it together and Mama tells that she
already has the form. Naoki apologise and tells them
that he no intention of doing that now. He tells Mama
that when they got married it was all Mama's idea and
that he still has things he wants to settle down
first before doing that. Kotoko realises that in one
part she is not really Naoki's wife and she is hurt
by Naoki's decision.
During
tennis practise, Sudou keeps talking about Kotoko's
marriage to her annoying Kotoko and she tells him
about what happened. Sudou surrised shouts out and
Kotoko tries to sush him. While they were talking
Reiko comes along and says maybe Naoki did that so
when he divorce her he don't have to report it. She
then says that Naoki is a genius for thinking that.
When Kotoko asks her what she means, she explains
that maybe Naoki is just sort of trying to see if
Kotoko and him suits. If not then they can break up.
She then says that means still have a chance and she
walked away laughing. Kotoko is very upset and thinks
that if Naoki really didn't want to marry her.
Naoki and
Papa are discussing the company. Papa is really glad
that the company is doing well now and tells Naoki
that most of the credit goes to Naoki. He tells Naoki
if he wants, Naoki can go back to school. He seemed
quiet. Then papa says if he wants to stay that's okay
too. He tells Papa that he'll go back to his office
now.
Naoki
seems to be thinking about something in his office
when he is told that there are some people who says
that they are his friends are alooking for him. As it
turned out it was the guys from the manga club. They
have a concept for a game based on the Tennisu no
Onna. Naoki tries out the game and completes it in 20
min. He tells them that it's too easy. As the manga
guys were leaving dejected, Naoki tells them to wait.
That
night Naoki calls home telling Kotoko that he won't
be coming home because he'll be working. Kotoko
decides to make him some supper and brought it to the
office. But she was told by the security guard that
Naoki told him that no one is to disturb him so she
had to leave the food with the guard to bring up to
Naoki.
Kotoko is
upset about this and tells Satomi and Zinko about it
and tells them that she is afraid that Naoki ishaving
an affair but they tell her that Naoki won't do such
things. Kinnosuke hears them talking and went off to
confront Naoki despite Kotoko trying to stop him. He
asks Naoki that if Naoki don't want Kotoko then he
should break up with her. He also says that if Naoki
makes Kotoko happy he would give up but the fact is
that Naoki makes Kotoko unhappy. He tells Naoki that
he don't know what Naoki's plans are but he is making
Kotoko miserable. Naoki asks him if he is done
because he got a lot of work to do. Kinnosuke tries
to punch him but Naoki caught his fist and told him
that this is his and Kotoko's family problem and not
Kinnosuke's. Naoki then tells him to listen carefully
and says that it seems Kinnosuke can't wait for Naoki
and Kotoko to break up.
Kotoko
stops them from fighting. Kotoko then says that
Kinnosuke didn't do anything wrong. The person who
did wrong in Naoki. She says that to Naoki, Kotoko is
not really his wife. She also tells him that whatever
she did, it was never successful and that she worries
too much since how can a couple like them be
considered married. Naoki then says if that is the
case the it's fine with him and thank goodness he
hasn't registered yet. Kotoko hearing this gets angry
and leaves. Naoki seems upset. Everyone in the offcie
is looking at him and Kinnosuke ran after Kotoko.
Mama is
worried because Kotoko hasn't been eating properly.
Naoki also hasn't be home for a week. Mama also
realises that Kotoko has been crying and she asks
Kotoko is Naoki causes it. She says that she has been
reading a romantic novel that is why she is crying.
After Mama left, Kotoko remembers Naoki saying it's
fine with him and thank goodness he hasn't registered
yet. She realises that maybe they will end up
divorcing. Though upset, she thinks that it's better
that way. She also realises that this is the first
time she doesn't want to see him cause if she did she
won't be able to make her decision. (I hope this is
right....I find this part a bit hard to translate....)
Mama is
worrried and asks Papa what exactly is Naoki doing
but Papa himself doesn't know. Sai is also upset
about the situation.....
In school
everyone has heard about what Naoki did to Kotoko and
they sided with Kotoko though they are not helping
matters by saying that Naoki is just playing with
Kotoko when he married her and that there's must be
another woman involved.
Kotoko
goes to her father's restaurant. While Kinnosuke is
trying fuel the flames and encouraging Kotoko to
leave Naoki, Sai tells him to and work. He then tells
her that Kotoko is being unreasonable cause Naoki
works hard and she gets angry with him. He also tells
her to stop thinking about herself but consider Naoki
too. Kinnosuke tries to intervene but Sai tells him
that this problem is between Kotoko and Naoki as a
couple. He tells Kotoko that Naoki has his own mind
and that she should trust Naoki. She then runs aout
saying that Say don't understand her feelings. When
Kinnosuke tries to go after her, sai tells him not to
bother with her and that she is not stupid so she
will understand.
In tennis
practise, Ayako comes and makes snide remarks to
Kotoko. Then Sudou comes along with the new sthat he
got a new job. He then says that Kotoko is so pitiful...only
married one months and Naoki doesn't register their
marriage, doesn't come home, has another woman, doesn't
send money home and also some poeple said that he is
gay...(the power of gossip....;;^^)
Kotoko
decides that she believes Naoki though she wished
that she can see him. Suddenly Naoki comes and tells
Kotoko to come with him. When she wants to change out
of her tennis clothes, he tells her that they have no
time. Everyone is speculating what Naoki is doing.
When Kotoko asks where they are going, he tells her
that they are going to a hotel. Kotoko went red in
the face.
Kotko is
shocked when they went into the hotel Naoki brought
her into a ballroom full of people. As it turned out,
they launching the new game that Naoki has been
working on together with the guys from the manga club.
The spokesperson for the company tells the guest that
Tenisu no Onna this character is based on Kotoko. As
she went up tha stage, Naoki says let me introduce
you, "This is my wife, Irie Kotoko." After
Kotoko said a few words to the audience, Naoki says,
"Kotoko, it's been a while since I've seen you...."
Kotoko starts to tear up...;;^^
That
night, Naoki tells Kotoko that he'll be returning to
school next month and he also tells her that he ate
the meal that she cooked for him. As they were
kissing, Kotoko tells him that she misses him but
Naoki fell asleep. Kotoko kisses him and says it's
been hard on you, hubby....;;^^
One month
later, the game that Naoki created was a hit. Kotoko
and Naoki sets for school together for the first time.
He tells her that before going to school, they are
going to some place first and he tells her to just
follow him. As it turns out, Naoki is registering
their marriage. On their way to school, Naoki reveals
why he didn't do this earlier. He says that he was
determined to help Papa first before doing this and
that he actually want to finish school first but Mama
spoiled the plan. He said he worked very hard in the
office but Kotoko arrives in the office crying with
Kinnosuke in a tow. As Kotoko tries to explain, Naoki
says from today onward, pleased to meet you wife...(I'm
not sure if this how you say it in english....)

It's a
new school semester...Yuki is now in Junior High
school. As Kotoko and Naoki went to school, many
people are looking at the manga club when clubs are
recruiting members. Kotoko figured that 90% of the
people are there to see Naoki and 8% are there to see
her...Naoki wondered about the other 2%......;;^^
When
Kotoko sees Satomi and Zinko they talked about
getting jobs...but it seemed that Kotoko still deson't
know what to do....this is their 4th year BTW....
Naoki has
forgotten to take a book with him when he went to his
classes so Kotoko went to the medicine faculty to
give it to him but she couldn't find him . So she
decides to ask this guy for help. She asks him if he
knows Irie Naoki from the fourth year. He then asks
if Kotoko is his wife. He then says that actually he
is interested in what type of women Naoki likes and
he tells her that she is different from what he
expected. He then tells her where Naoki can be found.
As he led the way, Kotoko thinks that this person is
annoying....
As it
turned out Kotoko brought the wrong book anyway and
the guy, Funetsu laughed. He then says that it is
unexpected that Naoki would fall for someone like
that and that he expects Naoki to pick someone who is
perfect. Kotoko is offended and thinks that Naoki
will rebutt this guy's comments. She was shocked when
Naoki says Funetsu is right but he won't able to
guess about Naoki correctly because he likes to be
second. That's when Naoki is saying Funetsu is right,
he was refering to the part where Funetsu says he
expects this blah blah blah..Funetsu is angry to hear
this and leaves.
During
tennis practise, Reiko tells Kotoko that Funetsu in
highschool used to be the genius and the most popular
guy. He hopes to be that but of course with Naoki in
the picture he cannot be no. 1. He even went to the
extent of tranferring from the best uni just to get
near Naoki.
Sudou
comes for a visit even though he is no longer
teaching tennis. He asks the first year to play with
him and he becomes fierce and crazy again.....Naoki
asks about his new job. It's selling cars. Apparently
he's there to try and sell some cars....
Kotoko is
thinking about what job should she look for and she
thought about doing something similar like Naoki but
she knows Naoki would probably asks her if she wants
to kill someone...;;^^ Then she overheard some guys
talking about teaching and she perks up.
That
night Kotoko tells Naoki that she wants to teach and
Naoki is hocked and asks her if she is joking. When
the other family members found out about it they went
pale....;;^^ Naoki asks if she knows what does it
mean to teach and Kotoko says of course she does, she
is not stupid. But Naoki syas that this IS stupid.
When Naoki tells her to drop the idea she says she
can't because she already applied. She tells them not
to worry cause she knows her own limit that's why she
applied for a job in a junior high school. Naoki gave
up and ngrily tells her to do what she likes but don't
come crying to him later.
Naoki is
in a some sort of competition where Funetsu is also
taking part. Naoki won of course despite Funetsu
trying to argue with the judges. In fact the judges
told him why Naoki's lecture is better. Kotoko feels
pity for Funetsu.
As she
was buying drink and getting ready to look for Naoki
to go home together she saw him sitting alone. He
says that he won't be able to beat Naoki. Cheering
him up, Kotoko gave him a can of drink. While they
were talking he takes off his glasses and Kotoko
thinks to herself that he is actually quite good
looking. He suddenly asks if he kisses Kotoko what
would Naoki do. He says that no matter what he does
Naoki doesn't seem to react but when he said
something about Kotoko Naoki seems to react. So he
wants to see Naoki's expression when he receives a
blow. Kotoko starts to panic when Naoki suddely kicks
Funetsu from the back and says that if he wants to
see, then Naoki will let him see his expression. And
with straight face he says this is his expression.
They sort
out their differences when Naoki tells Funetsu
something like being no. 1 is not everything and that
he can see Funetsu being a brilliant doctor. Funetsu,
encouraged cheers up. He tells Naoki he understands
why Naoki likes Kotoko and grabs her hands and asks
for her forgiveness and Kotoko smiled and agreed.
Naoki doesn't looked happy about this and says that
even if Funestu becomes a doctor, he'll be behind
himself. Kotoko asks him why he says such things and
that Funetsu is pitiful. Naoki doesn't seem happy. He
then says, "Second best. Second best. Second
best" to Funetsu ;;^^ Funestu is offended and
vow to outdo Naoki. Naoki then reveals that he has no
intention to do the same job that Funetsu wants to do
and he walks aways with Kotoko.
That
night, Kotoko recievs the reply from the school and
as it turned out she's going to be teaching in Yuki's
school and he's not happy about it at all........
