17:
Kotoko is
finally going to have her nursing training in a real
hospital. She imagines about what she'll encounter,
the type of support she'll provide for the patients
under her care. However, the thing that makes her
happy most is that this is the first step to her
achieving her dream of working together with Naoki.
The
nursing students are assigned to their individual
patients and Kotoko found out that her patient is
going to be an 80 year old woman. When Kotoko tells
Naoki about her patient, Naoki reveals that he knows
the patient as well. Kotoko is very happy and asked
him what type of person she is and is she the type of
person that Kotoko thinks she is. Naoki then tells
her yes and that probably she and Kotoko can get
along very well. Kotoko is very happy and left,
Funetsu then asks Naoki if it's okay to say things
like that. Naoki said yes nurses need to learn such
things (???).
Finally
the day for the training comes. When Kotoko and her
friends are introduced to their seniors, everyone
seemed to accept them except of Kotoko cause she had
to stay back a year in uni. They started giggling and
laughing about Kotoko and Kotoko is offended.
Keita is
introduced to his patient, a 15 year, wheel chair
bound girl, Akiko. Koko/Miki is assigned to this urm..perverted
young man who is not happy because his nurse is a man.
Marina is assigned to one of the manga club member in
uni. ;;^^ Kotoko and Marina are shocked and the guy
kept referring to Kotoko as Kotorin...;;^^ Kotoko
finally meets her 80 year old patient, Yoshida-san.
As it tuned out she is an old lady with an attitude
and it appears Kotoko won't be having an easy time.
During
lunch, they are comparing about their patients when
Kotoko comes in pale in the face. Kotoko then found
out more about her patient and she is horrified. Koko/Miki
who had been complaining about his patient concedes
that his situation is not as bad as Kotoko's.
Then
suddenly all the seniors are twittering and giggling
and they are all staring at Naoki who just came in
with his fellow interns. When Kotoko is about to call
Naoki, the seniors tell the juniors about Naoki and
tell them not to start liking him and not to overstep
themselves (hard to explain this bit). Kotoko decides
not to call Naoki when suddenly someone said "Hi".
It was
Naoki. He asked about her experience so far etc and
Kotoko is horrified. Then Naoki tells her to work
hard and left, leaving Kotoko to face the angry
seniors. When they start harassing her, Koko/Miki
reveals that Kotoko is Naoki's wife. The seniors then
abandoned Kotoko, leaving her to cry after them. The
chance of Kotoko being accepted is gone. Kotoko is
facing a lot of hardship as her patient is giving her
problems and her seniors also refused to help her.
Kotoko is
complaining to Mama and Naoki about the treatment she
got and she blames Naoki because he spoke to her that
time during lunch. However, Naoki was less
sympathetic compared to Mama. He tells Kotoko to
solve her own problems and if she can't even handle
this she should give up. Kotoko is angry.
Kotoko
continues her training and despite the hard time she
is having from the seniors and her patient, Kotoko
does everything she can despite not being happy about
the whole situation.
Naoki and
the other interns came together with the doctor in
charge of Yoshida-san. Yoshida-san is demanding that
she is only willing to be checked up by Irie sensei.
;;^^ Naoki unwillingly listens to her breathing.
During this time Yoshida-san is flirting with Naoki.
;;^^ Then the main doctor steps in and informs her
that she cannot like Naoki because Naoki is already
married to this nurse, referring to Kotoko. Yoshida-san
took this as a joke and laughs it off when Naoki said
it's true.
Kotoko is
horrified as her life now would be even worse but to
her surprise Yoshida-san started being nice to her.
As Kotoko thought that finally her life would be
easier, she finds out Yoshida-san is still being mean
to her...she tricked Kotoko into thinking that she's
being nice but she actually gets Kotoko into trouble
again with the head nurse....

Kotoko,
Marina and Koko/Miki are envious of Keita since it
seems his case is the best one. He gets along very
well with his patient and seems to be having an easy
time compared to theirs. But Koko/Miki agrees that
when compared to Kotoko's, their situation is not
that bad.
Kotoko
finds out that Yoshida-san actually has lot's of
Naoki's picture and she wants one set too but of
course she refused to give it to her.;;^^ Kotoko's
life is still very hard and after a whole day's work
in the hospital she goes home to study. Naoki
noticing this looks worried but he does not show it
to Kotoko.
Kotoko
goes to the hospital looking tired and met Tomoko who
looks very happy and cheerful. Tomoko revealed that
she went to help out in this big operation etc...;;^^
Kotoko
meets Akiko and they speak about her (Akiko) and then
Akiko asks Kotoko about how she feels about Keita but
when Kotoko asks her what about Keita, Akiko quickly
leaves and said nothing.
Kotoko is
told that Yoshida-san is looking for her and Kotoko
thinks here we go again. When she comes into the
room, she found out that Yoshida-san is having a
heart attack. Kotoko fearing for her life quickly
called the doctor. The doctor and all the other
nurses came only to find Yoshida-san calmly drinking
her tea. As it turned out she was just being her mean
self again. Kotoko gets into trouble again because of
this and as Kotoko left the room in tears, Yoshida-san
looked at her.
Naoki
finds Kotoko at the rooftop. Kotoko tells Naoki that
she is very tired of this all and that she even being
angry at Yoshida-san, it's no use etc. Naoki then
tells her to give up. Kotoko is shocked. He tells her
that he has been meaning to tell her this and that
this dream to be a nurse, is because of him. He tells
her that this job is not suitable for her and that
she feels miserable so he would rather she give up.
Kotoko asks herself how can she give up?
The head
nurse tells Kotoko that from tomorrow onward Kotoko
will not be assigned to Yoshida-san anymore and tells
her to say goodbye to Yoshida-san. When Kotoko goes
to see her, tells her about the matter and tells her
that maybe they cannot get along but she is sorry for
making her angry all the time etc. Kotoko then grabs
her face and tells her to at least look her in the
eye when Kotoko is speaking to her and to Kotoko's
shock, Yoshida-san is actually having a fever. Kotoko
quickly calls the doctor.
Kotoko
discovers that Yoshida-san needs to be in the ICU.
When the hospital tries to contact her family, when
they found out her condition is not threatening, they
didn't want to come and see her. Kotoko is angry and
resolved to take care of Yoshida-san herself.
That
night, while Kotoko is taking care of Yoshida-san,
Naoki comes in to check in on Yoshida-san and Kotoko.
Naoki tells Kotoko to take care of Yoshida-san and as
he left, he said ganbatte to her.
The next
morning, Kotoko is awaken by Yoshida-san's shout that
Kotoko is very heavy. She is fine now as the doctors
are checking up on her she mentions that if Irie-sensei
kisses her, she would be better faster...;;^^ The
doctors quickly leave the room when Kotoko and
Yoshida-san are shouting at each other.
The head
nurse is very happy with Kotoko's performance in the
training. It's time to say goodbye to the patients
for the trainee nurses. Koko/Miki is crying because
he is going to part with her patient. Marina and
Kotoko is shown a new poster by the manga club people.
It's shows super nurses, Kotorin and Manarin...;;^^
Kotoko
finds out from Akiko that Akiko likes Keita and when
Akiko asks about Kotoko's and Keita's relationship,
Kotoko gushes that she already has Naoki who is
number 1 husband. ^_^ Kotoko leaves Akiko and Keita
alone to say goodbye.
Kotoko
goes to see Yoshida-san and is shocked to find her
and Naoki taking a picture together. Kotoko complains
and cry about the unfairness of it all. Eventually
Kotoko and Yoshida-san takes a picture together with
Naoki between them. As Kotoko is speaking to teh
nruse taking the picture, Yoshida-san tells Naoki
that he married a good wife and Naoki says "yes"
with a smile. Yoshida-san said that Kotoko is stupid
but she has got guts.
After the
trainee left, the seniors talked about them. They are
impressed with Kotoko's treatment of Yoshida-san.
Yoshida-san meanwhile is still giving other nurses
grief. But on her side table a picture of Kotoko,
Naoki and her is framed.

Kotoko's
friends have graduated and Ryo and Satomi reveals
that they are getting married. Kotoko represents
Satomi's family and when she went with Satomi to see
Ryo and his mother about the wedding plan, the
tension between Kotoko and Ryo's mother crackled.
;;^^
Ryo's
mother kept making suggestions that Satomi and Ryo do
not want for the wedding and while Kotoko wants to
tell her off, Satomi kept stopping her. Even when
picking the wedding gown, Ryo's mother said that what
Satomi wants to wear is too revealing. Kotoko wants
to tell her off again but Satomi stops her. Kotoko
scolds Satomi about not standing up for herself but
Satomi tells Kotoko that Kotoko is lucky to marry
into the Irie family. But Satomi doesn't care what is
demanded on her as long as she and Ryo can marry.
That
night kotoko hugs the surprised Naoki and tells him
that she is very lucky. Naoki not understanding just
called her strange.
Finally
it's the wedding day. Satomi is a beautiful bride
even wearing a high-collared and very traditional
wedding gown. During the ceremony the compare started
telling Satomi's life but he embellished it by saying
she is from teh A-class etc to Satomi's and Ryo's
anger. This is his mother's idea. Kotoko and Naoki
looked unhappy for them too cause like this it seems
Satomi won't have an easy time dealing with her
mother in law but kept quiet.
Kotoko
started drinking and by the time it was time for her
speech she was drunk and revealed the truth. Ryo's
mama is very angry snatches the mike away and shouted
that none of Satomi's friends are good people and
insults them. Naoki angrily stood up when Satomi
suddenly shouts out that the one who is not good is
Ryo's mama. Everyone is shocked but satomi tells
Ryo's mother off. Ryo tries to calm Satomi down
because of the baby. She tells him to make a choice
and he picks Satomi because the one that he is
marrying is Satomi and not his mother.
Ryo's
father supports Satomi and Ryo and tells his wife off
who runs off. Satomi has a talk with her mother in
law. In the end, despite the fact that Satomi has a
difficult mother-in-law, at least she won't have a
miserable life. That nigth as Kotoko and Naoki goes
home, the drunk Kotoko tells Naoki she wants to have
another wedding ceremony with Naoki etc and Naoki
tells her no matter what he doesn't want to go
through it again....

Kotoko
and Naoki has been married for 2 and 1/2 year now.
Life in the Irie family is as normal. Naoki getting
up and then asking Kotoko for coffee, quarreling with
Yuuki etc. :)
That
morning Mama tells the family that Rika, Naoki's and
Yuki's cousin will be staying with them. It's been 5
years since they saw her last. Mama also tells Kotoko
that Rika and the Irie brothers were playmates and
that her family migrated to America 5 years ago.
Yuuki seems to like her very much and when Kotoko
asks what type of person Rika is, everyone in the
Irie family describes her as if she is perfect and
Kotoko is distressed to find out that another perfect
girl who Naoki knows and wonders why he is always
surrounded by perfect girls.
Kotoko
imagines Rika as this sweet girl who will look up to
her. To her surprise, Rika is a very pretty girl who
hugs Naoki happily when she sees him. Naoki is also
very friendly to her. However, Mama separates Rika
from Naoki and introduces Kotoko to her. Rika tells
Kotoko that she is very surprised to hear that Naoki
is married and tells her that Kotoko is great to be
able to catch Naoki who hates girls. Mama and Rika
also seemed very close. Everyone in the family is
happy but Kotoko somehow feels uneasy...
That
night the family is talking with Rika and then the
topic of Kotoko going after Naoki came up and rika
said she knew it. And then she turns around to Naoki
and puts her head on his shoulder and said had she
known she wouldn't have left then etc. Naoki seems
alright with her with her head on his shoulder.
Kotoko is not happy. Then Rika hugs Yuuki. Mama then
tells Kotoko that rika has always been like this and
that Rika don't have any bad intention. That night as
they are going off to be, Rika stops Kotoko and
whispers to her next time to tell Rika how Kotoko
managed to snare Naoki.
As Kotoko
prepare to bed, Kotoko tells Naoki that Rika is
pretty etc and that her relationship with Naoki seems
very good. Kotoko who expected Naoki to ensure her of
his love, was shocked when Naoki agrees with her and
tells her to get along well with Rika.
Koko/Miki
and Kotoko talks about this matter and Koko/Miki
warns Kotoko what might happen. On the way home,
Kotoko meets with Rika. As they are walking home, 2
guys tries to pick Rika up but she puts them in their
place. As they continued walking, Rika reveals to
Kotoko that she cannot like other guys other than
Naoki and so she tells Kotoko to give Naoki up to her.
Kotoko is shocked when Rika laughs and said she is
joking. Yet, Kotoko still feels uneasy.
Even in
school, Rika seems to make her presence known to
Naoki. She goes to look for him. Kotoko's friends
seeing this warns her of this and that. Keita then
tells her that Kotoko is already married to Naoki so
she shouldn't feel uneasy because of such a small
thing. He also scolds her to have confidence etc.
With this Kotoko feels much better.
That
night, Yuuki, Rika, Naoki and Kotoko are in the
living room but it seems Kotoko is left out of their
group. As Kotoko is leaving for her bath, Rika asks
her if Naoki is joining her and Kotoko is flustered.
She then suggest the 3 of them bathe together. Naoki
refuses and Kotoko is angry and flustered. Rika
decides to join her for the bath. Yuuki is red in the
face and Naoki seems annoyed. During the bath, they
talk. Rika asks Kotoko is Naoki can kiss very well.
Kotoko flustred reaplied that Naoki is the only
person whom she had kissed. Rika then said that like
that there cannot be comparisons then. Rika then says
that she used ot have lot's of boyfriends. Kotoko
then stood up to leave. Before she left the room,
Rika tells her that Naoki cannot be compared and that
Naoki's kiss is the best. She then tells Kotoko that
Kotoko is very fortunate to be able to kiss Naoki
often and wishes that she can kiss him again. She
then asks Kotoko if it's alright. Kotoko tries to
clarify when Naoki's and Rika's kiss occured and Rika
tells her it was when Rika was in grade 7 and when
Naoki was in grade 11 and that it was their first
kiss. Kotoko hearing this fainted.
When
Kotoko woke up she was surrounded by Naoki, Rika and
the teary Mama. As Rika was leaving the room, she
smiled snidely and said to Kotoko to take care. When
they are alone, Kotoko asks Naoki if his first kiss
was with Rika. Instead of denying it, Naoki said,
"if you hadn't mentioned it, I would have
forgotten, you are right." Kotoko is shocked....
